Speculative literature. We understood that it is another way to define the ability of science fiction to look at real things from sides unknown to most.

How much is an independent magazine of speculative literature. A masterpiece in the first issue, in the 500 copies in limited edition, which is a candidate to be a new Italian cult. It is also an example that in Italy those who can write well are sometimes not in the big circuits, but you have to find it, and we believe we have found it, this time too.

You need just over an hour to rise to the world of the Company and immerse yourself from head to tail in "Chronicle of an announced suicide", the story contained in this first issue. the synopsis here, in the official card of Frab's magazine.

But it is certainly not the story we want to talk about, but the sensations of a literary magazine that as soon as you open it surprises you for two things: paper, with an editor who finally enhances the tactile element of the magazine and the engaging writing, which clean in the story is completed with the original illustrations.

From the ambiguity of the transparent dust jacket to the more or less thick, more or less porous papers, the tactile component of Quanto is nothing more than an earthly channel to launch into the parallel dimension of its history and tell the Company, this industrial world with sensations. and aimed at productivity which is the main cosmos on which history revolves. The back cover shows, even proudly, the papers used: Fedrigoni Sirio Color 210 gr / m2, Arjowiggins Curious Matter 135 gr / m2, Gardamatt Ultra 130 gr / m2. If an independent magazine is able to distance itself from the mass product it is also because in addition to the content, it is the object itself that speaks to those who enjoy it and the path to enhance the object itself in this area is still long, but any attempt to do so deserves all our gratitude.

Then we enter the story of 9 short chapters that tell the story of a world that tells ourselves in today without ever telling us, imagining a future, a fact that technological and quantum tools incomprehensible to us mere mortals by the author's will. The MTDBT2F font almost impossible to find in the pages of a magazine, is the element that gives the gravity and the sense of bewilderment of an empty world where there are no feelings and where the human soul is completely annihilated, destroyed with the will of precise intent. Where even death no longer makes sense. A clear text even for those who are not accustomed to science fiction texts, which ask questions and can explain themselves a bit like a poem, even when you don't understand the meaning of a technological term that is probably pure invention.

This is Quanto, the first number is sold out, while you find the second available HERE.

Meanwhile, love burns.

Have a good trip!
