The Modern House is a new independent magazine halfway between a design / architecture magazine and a lifestyle magazine, helping people to live in more thoughtful and beautiful ways.
Born from an idea of the real estate agency of the same name, the magazine assumes that design is a powerful positive force. Inspired above all by the principles of modernism, among its pages we find architecture, interiors, brands, but also styles and life stories.

The fourth issue of The Modern House is dedicated to one of the five essential principles for any living space: nature (the others are space, material, light and decoration).
Nature is, of course, much more than an essential consideration for a home: it is an essential consideration of life. The stories that make up this issue celebrate ways of life that put nature first and look to the natural world for inspiration, comfort, fun or appreciation.
In Buckinghamshire, our co-founder Albert Hill visited Margaret and Peter Aldington at the house and garden they built in the early 1960s, Turn End, which was masterfully immortalized by photographer Rich Stapleton for our series. " The Classics ". 
At his home in Echo Park, Los Angeles, collector and gallery owner Alex Tieghi-Walker tells us why he is happiest in his outdoor bathroom surrounded by the trees he plants every time he takes a flight.
