FUTURA PROXIMA Curated For Gucci is a special issue of A Magazine, a spiral bound and perforated magazine / calendar, conceived on the occasion of Gucci's centenary. This 132-page hybrid editorial publication, designed to hang on the wall or read like a magazine, includes a cross-cultural exploration of the passage of time for the year 2022 and beyond.
FUTURA PROXIMA comes to life in 12 months with 12 artists who divine the future through their thought and their work.
Designed by the Parisian design studio Ohlman Consorti, FUTURA PROXIMA includes an in-depth graphic study in the language of calendars, including radial and numerical variants and each month is written in a selection of 12 languages: English, Italian, French, Greek, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Cherokee, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew and Hindi.
"FUTURA PROXIMA is a look at tomorrow: a map of perhaps and a question mark of intriguing possibilities. The extremes of utopias and dystopias dissolve in its pages, replaced by 12 multipurpose excursions into the near future. Exploring the speculative interactions of our form analyzed with aesthetics and architecture, literature, biology and philosophy, presents a non-linear cycle of creative constructs for our physical and digital realities alike. "
A MAGAZINE curated by is a biannual publication that explores the creative sphere of a single fashion designer for each issue, invited to take care of every aspect, from graphics to content. Each edition celebrates the ethics of this artist (be it an individual, a group or a fashion house): his passion, his stories, emotions, spontaneity and authenticity.
Come tale, A MAGAZINE curated by it is a totally free and dynamic publication, a cultural declaration for individuality in an increasingly homogeneous sector.
