A Magazine Reader is an independent magazine born from a workshop / research still in progress that gave fruit to this series of zines started by Femke de Vries and Hanka van der Voet.
The idea behind the zine is to analyze a mainstream and high-end fashion magazine in each issue, recontextualizing it and translating it into a new alternative magazine, to provide information on cultural power and forms of value production. which are at the heart of the fashion media.
Between its pages, the reader becomes an active actor in the construct of fashion. Rereading the magazine dissecting it, analyzing its words, images, materiality, the articles shown on the pages and the strategies of the specific magazine changes the way of reading fashion.

The sixth edition of A magazine reader revolves around the idea of culture of emotions, self-help, therapy and self-transformation in the field of fashion.
