Food Unfold is an independent magazine dedicated to food and food sustainability that was born with the aim of reconnect people with food.
Many of us see food on the plate without really knowing its history: where and how it was produced, but above all the impact its production has on people, communities and the environment.
Indeed, food production is responsible for a number of environmental and social problems and, with rising temperatures and a growing world population, our food system can no longer afford to continue with unsustainable practices.
Part of the problem is that many of us have lost touch with where the food comes from.
Food Unfolded takes us on a journey through our food system, tells us where our food comes from and how it is made, from the chemistry behind what we eat and how it affects our body, to the impact that food production can have on people and the environment, to innovations and alternative practices that could help reduce this impact.
Learning more about our food and its origins can have a profound impact on our food choices, the system our choices affect and ultimately help protect our planet.
