GRASS, which in Danish means "grass", is a new independent magazine conceived and directed by Jon Willis which, through the images and words that fill its pages in thick opaque paper, does not limit itself to describing places, situations, people, but he tells us about them through the lenses of culture, language and travel. It is ideal for those who love traveling and for those who feel at home everywhere.
In each issue you will find photos, stories, essays and interviews that focus each time on a different theme.
Just like its readers, GRÆS knows how to enjoy an academic subject like linguistics, which sadly can be seen as rather dry.
Number of pages: 146
English language + other languages
ISSUE 3 - FOOD AND DRINK
The third number of GRÆS is full of bilingual texts dedicated to the theme of food and “nostalgia for taste”. IS ricco of illustrations based on interesting food idioms of multiple languages, a text on the creativity and sexuality of food metaphors in English, Romanian and Hungarian and even a short horror story from Greece about a sweet lady who loves cooking with ingredients that are questionable for her community. It is the latest and most mature issue ever made, designed for an audience that loves to eat, but is also linguistically curious.
