Homebound. New Wave is the latest publication from Slanted Publishers.
At the end of one of the strangest and most out of the ordinary periods ever lived, the book shows the works of designers, artists and authors who respond and visualize the influence of the pandemic on their attitudes and projects, becoming a precious document of what we have lived .
The HOMEBOUND project was born when the pandemic started causing blockages around the world and many designers and artists had to cancel commissions.
Cihan Tamti, author of the book Breakout, took the opportunity to create a publication that featured the free projects of his Instagram community created during this period to pass the extra time. The result was an incredibly beautiful documentation of that time and a work that would never have been produced under normal circumstances.
With the second wave of the pandemic, Cihan Tamti wanted to repeat the same process: the result is HOMEBOUND - New Wave, a publication that presents the work of 75 designers from 50 cities and 12 countries. The new waves of the pandemic have brought a new aesthetic, a new voice and a great advance in networking and cohesion within the designer community.
