Ransoms - Romantic Archive of Lost Photos is the first book by RVM Hub, the publishing house of the photographic magazine RVM Magazine.
Curated by Ivana Marrone, the book collects vintage black and white photos that are not connected to each other that tell lives and stories of all kinds and kinds: from the sea to the mountains, from sports, to the fatigue of work, to travel.
The curator in a superhuman intent with this book has two objectives: on the one hand the desperate search, through their diffusion, of the true stories behind the photographs she found; on the other hand, he wanted to give each of these disconnected photos a story, invent a meaning and a human story.
And so he hired a commendable team of "employees of a land registry of fantasy "as the preface tells us, which combined with each photo have invented a story able to give life to his characters energy, true passions, and fantastic stories of fragments of lived lives.
What comes out is a delicate work: the representation of unconnected moments of memory that make us bounce lightly with the imagination in the most intimate moments in the lives of others.
