Acne Paper was the Acne Studios magazine published every six months from 2005 to 2014.
In 2021, Acne Studios publishes a book that celebrates this incredible editorial adventure by bringing back some of the best works from the magazine's archive, accompanied by new essays by Sarah Mower, Vince Aletti and Robin Muir.
Acne paper wasn't just a fashion magazine, but its editorial mix focused on culture in the broadest sense, with a careful look at how the past informed the present. Each issue was dedicated to a specific timeless theme explored through photography, art, literature and journalism. Curated by Thomas Persson, Acne Paper has never been a conventional magazine, alternating fashion editorials from multiple brands with topics ranging from 15th century tapestries to LGBTQ culture, from master painting to street photography, theater to sculpture, dance to meditation, just to name a few.
Fifteen issues have been published in nine years: The City, Escapism, Education, Playfulness, Elegance, Exoticism, Tradition, Eroticism, Art and Spirituality, Legendary Parties, The Study, Youth, The Body, Manhattan and The Actress.
