Rising Issue is an independent mental health magazine. But it is much more: it is a generational zine that traces more and more the path of a so-called "Generation Z" that begins to look for spaces outside the internet. And if he does it often, it is to take off the glossy mask of Tik Tok and Instagram and talk about the most serious things, the real problems, outside these channels.
Rising Issue, literally a problem that finally emerges. That of mental health in the youngest, up to Millennials. This magazine tells with the words of those who live them real and tangible experiences on mental health, anxiety, panic, stress. It tells how to get help, how to overcome the fear of meeting an analyst and trying to get out of the darkest recesses in which the mind can slip.
It's a little rock magazine, because it finally breaks a taboo. The magazine is created by Dominika Rekas, a young British woman who has decided to publish this publication partly to share, to help not feel alone, partly to give advice on how to get help. Inside we find a very British appeal and references, intimate stories, a lot of femininity, activities to distract one's mind, smart working, freelancing and various current issues.
Graphic choices and above all content raise the level of this publication, the paper product is basic and in line with the first edition of a publication that must find its own print size. It is a small magazine of help and knowledge. A step of great courage.
